Contact Emma

I'm always excited to connect with readers, fellow writers, and book lovers. Whether you have questions about No One You Know, want to discuss my journey from advice columnist to novelist, or are interested in my previous works as Em & Lo, I'd love to hear from you.

As a debut novelist and current middle school librarian in the Hudson Valley, I bring a unique perspective to discussions about literature, family dynamics, grief, and the intersection of digital life with real relationships. I'm available for interviews, podcasts, book club discussions, and speaking engagements.

Media professionals: I'm happy to discuss the themes in my work, including how my experience as a former sex advice columnist influenced my approach to writing literary fiction, the research process behind creating authentic teenage characters, and the challenges of depicting modern family life in the Hudson Valley setting.

Book clubs and reading groups: I love discussing the mother-daughter dynamics in No One You Know, the role of social media in contemporary grief, and how location becomes a character in literary fiction. Virtual and in-person discussions are both welcome.

Educational institutions: Drawing from my background in library science and my transition between careers, I can speak about the evolving nature of information literacy, the importance of diverse voices in literature, and navigating career changes in midlife.
